Introduction

General Remarks


Upon successful completion of the Psychology program students will be able to:

  • demonstrate in-depth knowledge about the understanding and the explanation of the human behaviour, thoughts and feelings.
  • demonstrate familiarity with empirical findings of various psychological phenomena.
  • demonstrate a good knowledge of various psychological theories that study human personality, by pointing out contributions and limitations for each.
  • demonstrate knowledge of the physical, emotional, cognitive and personality changes that occur during each developmental stage of the individual’s lifespan.
  • demonstrate an understanding of the principles of human learning, memory, thinking, judgement and problem solving.
  • demonstrate an understanding and an evaluation of psychological research and psychological writings.
  • demonstrate an understanding and differentiation of major psychological disorders, diagnosis and treatment.
  • demonstrate an understanding of the role of heredity and environment in producing changes in physical, intellectual and social behaviour throughout life.
