General Remarks


Upon successful completion of the Turkish Language & Literature program students will be able to:

  • Explain the historical development, important periods and works of Turkish language and literature.
    Analyze works from different genres and periods of Turkish literature, discussing their language, style, themes, and content.
  • Demonstrate knowledge to explain and use contemporary methods in language teaching and basic skill areas of Turkish language learning.
  • Show the role of language and literature in human life and its effects on the linguistic, emotional and intellectual development of individuals.
  • Explore text analysis and critical reading skills using their knowledge of language, literary theory and criticism.
  • Contribute to the literature by reading and evaluating academic works and articles in the field of Turkish language and literature and learning Turkish as a native and foreign language.
  • Express the cultural and social contexts of language and literature, analyzing and interpreting different texts within these contexts.
  • Learn Turkish language and literature effectively using the methods and techniques needed in educational processes.
  • Design teaching materials and plan innovative approaches to teaching language and literature through individual and group work.
  • Analyze the role of language and literature in physical, intellectual and social behavior and use this knowledge in student development.

Details

The Bachelor’s program in Turkish Language and Literature lasts three years. It takes place within the Department of Psychology and Education at the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences. The program aims to provide students with comprehensive knowledge, skills and practical experience in various fields of Turkish language and literature, including linguistics, classical Turkish literature, contemporary Turkish literature and world literature, together with a research-focused approach to analysis of the text and critical reading. skills. The program is taught in Turkish and boasts a prestigious faculty consisting of accomplished academics who have completed their PhDs in Turkey and bring knowledge from their professional experiences in teaching Turkish language and literature, literary history and criticism. In addition to specialized courses, faculty members who teach mainstream subjects such as Albanian, English, and computer applications are also expert academics in their fields.
