Yes. University of New York Tirana (UNYT) is the only university in Albania that offers a double degree diploma in collaboration with The State University of New York (SUNY), so students have a unique opportunity to receive an American Bachelor Degree.

Applications are only accepted for fall semester.

After your registration is completed; Please visit International Marketing Officer, so we can assist you with the following Residence Permit application process.

  • Passport
  • Photocopy of passport ID page, as well as any pages of student visa and/or entry stamps.
  • Application form
  • Official Acceptence Letter
  • Health insurance
  • 4 passport-sized biometric photographs
  • Receipt of payment of the application fee
  • Criminal record taken from the country of origin no later than 6 months before the application.
  • If the applicant is under the age of 18; consent letter (from both Parents) and Birth Certificate.

International students must apply for residence permits within 30 days of entering Albania, and before their visa expiration date.

Applications for permits can take up to 90 days to be processed.

Applicants are not recommended to leave Albania until their application is processed and they have received their residency permit.

It is highly recommended to visit the UNYT International Student Office to apply for a residence permit.

Students must pay the yearly tuition according to the payment plan provided by Finance Office in two installments.

After the approval of your application, a non-refundable deposit of 800 Euro should be paid.

The deposit is considered as a guarantee of the applicant’s intent to enroll at UNYT. This deposit amount will then be deducted from the tuition fee at registration.
